Today I also have a five-movie selection about business fuckups for you ⬇️
From corporate con artists to tech tycoons, these films showcase the highs and lows of the business world.
Prepare to laugh, cringe, cry, and learn from the different business blunders watching them!
First one is “Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room”(2005).
It’s a documentary that shows how the executives of the Enron Corporation orchestrated one of the biggest corporate frauds in American history, leading to the company's downfall.
This is a classic of the genre!
The next one is “The Big Short”(2015).
A comedy-drama that follows a group of investors who predicted the credit and housing bubble collapse of the mid-2000s and decided to bet against the market.
Among the actors: Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt and others.
The other film is “Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened”(2019).
A documentary about the fraudulent Fyre Festival that promised a luxury music event but failed spectacularly, leaving thousands of festival-goers stranded and investors out of pocket.
Really impressive and epic.
Let’s move on — "The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley"(2019).
A hit movie about the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes and her startup, Theranos, which claimed to have developed a revolutionary blood testing technology but turned out to be a fraud.
Worth watching!
Last movie for today: “Silicon Cowboys”(2016).
A documentary about three friends who founded Compaq Computer, a company that challenged IBM's dominance of the computer industry, but faced numerous challenges in their pursuit of success.
