I found out about Growth Tracking methodology at a party. I got to know Eugene in 2019, when I had a startup called DocsInBox that helped restaurants with document management. We had our MVP and first sales, but we did not understand where to go next. First, we worked with Eugene on a couple of projects, and then started to send our executives to study at Growth Tracking School. All of them grew to be CEOs or partners afterwards.


Our group of companies currently contains 17 businesses, 600 employees and 25 partners. We grow 1.5x YoY on average, but some products grow 3-4x YoY. One of our startups currently grows at 30-40% every month.


We went into an acceleration program with a revenue of $500 per month and finished it with a revenue of $30k per month, investing all our energy in it and living each day as if it was the last one. We were the first company to test management units framework, and it worked exceptionally well in our group of companies. The system is so intensive that, currently, we use Growth Tracking for 2 months, then take one to catch our breath and complete some operational tasks, and then repeat the cycle again.


At some point we started doing serial entrepreneurship, we kept constantly launching new businesses. We grew them, founders used to delegate operations and start working with a Growth Tracker. This way the company started growing even faster than with a founder that launched the business.


Finally, we've reached a point where the company itself creates new products and businesses, they emerge from the inside, we don't need a board of directors or even a founder for that.


Growth Tracking is a school of business management, and you need to go there if your business has stopped growing. It is certainly cooler than MBA, you get the skills needed to achieve your goals really quickly.


What surprised me the most is that before Growth Tracking I thought that I needed to be someone to achieve my goals. Now I see, that I simply need to reach my goals. This is how you become someone.

I initially got into Growth Tracking to overcome the cash gap. We came with no money at all, and it was a difficult time for me and my team. I am an introvert and I got really nervous before the diagnostic session. Eugene struct me with his expertise, he instantly recognized our weak spots and problems with scaling. It took him 10 minutes to calculate our sales funnel, break our goals down into a plan and showed me the path that would let us out of the cash gap. Our core constraint was the conversion at the end of the funnel, so we calculated a goal for this metric and started working on it.

The second request I had was the sales funnel, I wanted to make the sales process smooth and repeatable, and start testing hypotheses. I thought that if we find a way to sell and start scaling, we will overcome our core constraint.

After the first week, we reached our conversion goal, but not the goal for the number of sales. On the second week we tried to scale our improved conversion. We have never grown that fast. Eugene quickly diagnosed upcoming constraints, we started hiring people beforehand.

In 2 months, we have closed the cash gap, and in the next month we saw our first profit. Currently I'm considering expansion to the foreign markets.

We've learned how to "stretch", break down and fix the company using hypotheses. For example, we had 3 entry lesson managers and it wasn't enough. Eugene helped us define a portrait of that person, and where we were most likely to find them. We tested this hypothesis and, actually, started finding them. I quickly realized that I need to look at my problems from different angle, and not to forget the main goal.

It is amazing how every sprint multiplies my goals. For example, we met with Eugene yesterday, diagnosed the core constraint. I said it was one thing, and he said it was something different. He asked me a few questions and I realized he was right. I don't know how he does it without even working at my company!

I like the way Eugene gets in your head and shows you how to think. You can set an 10x goal, and it is real! This is when something inside of me switched.

When I was a student I knew that working with a tutor doesn't guarantee that you'd pass the tests. Because the most important thing is what you do yourself.
