I initially got into Growth Tracking to overcome the cash gap. We came with no money, it was a difficult time for me and my team. I am an introvert and I got really nervous before the diagnostic session. Eugene struct me with his expertise, he instantly recognized our weak spots and scaling problems. It took him 10 minutes to calculate our sales funnel, breakdown our goals and show me the path that would let us out of the cash gap. Our cose constraint was the conversion at the end of the funnel, we calculated a goal for this metric and started working on it.
The second request I had was the sales funnel, I wanted to make the sales process smooth and repeatable, and start testing hypotheses. I thought that if we find a way to sell and start scaling, we will overcome our core constraint.
After the first week, we've reached our conversion goal, but not the amount of sales. On the secone week we tried to scale our improved conversion. Eugene told us to go steady, but it was so fast for us! We have never grown that fast. Eugene quickly diagnosed upcoming constraints, we started hiring people beforehand.
In 2 months we have closed the cash gap, and in the next month we have shown our first profit. Currently I'm thinking of expansion to the foreign markets.
We've learned how to "stretch", break down and fix the company using hypotheses. For example, we've had 3 entry lesson managers, it wasn't enough. Eugene has helped us define a portrait of this person, and where we are most likely to find them. We have tested this hypothesis and started finding them. I quickly realized that I need to look at my problems from different angle, don't forget the main goal.
It is amazing, how every sprint makes my goals multuply. For example, we've met with Eugene yesterday, diagnosed the core constraint. I said it is one thing, and he said it is another thing. He asked me a few questions and I realized he was right. I don't know how he does it without even working at my company!
I like the way Eugene gets in your head and shows you how to think. You can set an x10 goal, and it is real! This is when something inside of me switched.
When I was a student I knew, that working with a tutor doesn't guarantee you pass the tests. Because the most important thing is what you do yourself.
